Secondary school application process

General information

The new secondary school admission round typically runs from Mid September, for parents of current Year 6 children to apply for a secondary school (Year 7) place for the following September.
The statutory national closing date for applications is typically 31st October.

Applications received after this date will be considered late and you may reduce your chance of being offered a place at your preferred school.

You need to apply for a secondary school place through the county in which you reside.  Please use the links below to access the relevant county council websites.
