Swimming
Swimming lessons are held at the Lord Butler Leisure Centre, Saffron Walden.
If your child is swimming please ensure that they have their swimming kit with them on Wednesdays - kit includes: Towel, Swimming costume (no bikinis or bermuda shorts please), Swimming hat, Goggles (if required).
Unfortunately due to the rising costs of transport and services, we have had to increase the amount we request in contributions to £7.00 per week. This goes towards the cost of the coach, tuition fees, pool rental and guards. Payments can be made via online payment system - Scopay (Note: the item will only be displayed when your child is due to attend lessons)
It would be extremely helpful if you could encourage your children NOT to bring toys, notepads, pens etc to swimming in their swimming bags to prevent items of value to the children getting mislaid or damaged either on the bus or in the changing rooms. Similarly please could your child avoid bringing non-essential accessories (friendship bracelets, elaborate hair accessories, watches) on swimming days.

Water Safety
Please see the Water Safety Code below and also a Water Safety advice booklet with activities for your child to complete
As part of the water safety skills topics during lessons, sometimes the children are asked to bring in pyjamas to swim in so that they can feel what it is like to swim with wet clothes on. On these occasions please could the children come with pyjamas (not onesies), or T-shirts and shorts to wear over their swimming costumes.
Note: please can the shirts be shirts with sleeves (can be short sleeves, just not vest tops).
