During Anti-Bullying week, we joined many other children in the nation for Odd Socks Day which marked the start of Anti-Bullying Week. The Day was a chance for us all to celebrate individuality. Organised by the AntiBullying Alliance (a group of organisations, charities and individuals who work together to try and stop bullying), the theme was ‘One Kind Word’, emphasising the positive impact a small gesture or comment can have on someone else’s day. Throughout the week, children undertook different activities and discussions linked to hope and the positive things that can be done to combat bullying and spread more kindness took place. To symbolize what our world could be like if we all used kind words, Lowry children made a circle of friends. In our Anti-Bullying assembly, we listened carefully to the lyrics in Andy’s ‘One Kind Word’ song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpZ3u5Z6pOg and inspired by this year’s ‘Raise Your Voice’ song, our school Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are keento create a Chrishall version of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpZ3u5Z6pOg
